my nova goes into the bodyshop in a few weeks for some work and a respray but i carn't decide what to do about the boot.

here it is with black vinyal on

options are:

1) put standard vynal back on after spray

2) remove the vynal completely

3) mk1 boot with no grab handle all in black

OR

4)i plan on having softstars in an anthracite colour (maybe darker), so spray where the vynal is anthracite (ish) to match and put gsi sticker on top.

5) last option could be no vynal and anthracite grab handle

:confused: :cry: its too dificult to decide!! iv'e tried photoshop but carn't seem to get the wheel colour to match on the boot

keep the vynal - although if youre getting it resprayed you may have probs getting a replacement vynal (I dont think vauxhall do em anymore) so try and keep the GSi logo if you can to use as a template for any grafix company to make up a new one...

the anthracite option could be a good option - especially if youre getting the alloys to match - all you need then is the badge.

keep the grap handle and dont get a mk1 spoiler. Stick to mk2.

I've got the same problem but seen as the vinyl is no longer available there isn't really an option short of spraying up to the original vinyl which will leave a step.

I'm getting rid of it, luckily with my car being black its not that noticeable like yours.

I like the anthracite/matching alloys idea.

My GF's Astra GTE is Flame Red with a gloss black rear sprayed on & it looks pretty good IMO.

You can get similar vinyl from the vinylcorporation. You just need to get the GTE or model transfer from Vaux or ebay.

I rang up a vauxhall dealership near me about 1 week ago took them about 10 minutes to track down the boot vinyl and then they said to me "It's going to cost you about 80-90 quid to get one" ...Because it would have to come from abroud or something.

If it was a genuine item -- I'd pay the money for it

I prefer it plain with later badges
