bigger battery???

right im taking my nova into the new age, got electric windows n dvd head unit with 2 7" screens 1000w mono block and components all round, got other trick bits like neons, strobes and gps, i am having problems with keeping charge in the battery, i was thinking about getting a powercap but i read a thread about getting a bigger battery, i went to my local halfords and looked at sum 1.5 td batterys and was woundering if i got a new alternator (persific 2 my engine) and a big diesel battery would this help my dodgy power supply??? any help would be great :thumb:

run a td battie is a good idea if you have space you can get the engine to power a second battie in the boot for your install power cap help to keep power even more than save power good power caps are mega bucks, or try an audio battie try caraudiosercirty web site thay have them. hope that helps

you dont need one yours is just nackerd, I run a 2000w legacy item full whack and have never had any problems even with batterys allot smaller than the nova ones

Just run a caravan batt... with a charge splitter. you can then run your ICE all night long and you dont need to worry about running flat, because youll have your standard bat to fire you up again!

upgrade your alternator as well to a 75amp jobby, probably get one from an astra or cavalier!

i just used the battery off my old poogo 205 diesel. works a treat--three amps forever on loud and the lights dont go all "disco" anymore!

leave your engine on while the amps etc are on........sorted

maybe he can't leave he engine running cos the tone from the back box cancels out the bass from his sub

i use a vectra turbo battery, left my lights on overnight once and it still started first turn of the key :D
