i have noticed that my brand new ashley 4-1 manifold is starting to rust.
it's been on the car about a month, it took a week for all the paint to flake off and now rust if forming. has any one else had this problem, i thought i would check before i phone them.

Unless its stainless it will. Heating and cooling combined with regular blasts of wet salty shite means that it is impossible to stop mild steel zorsts from rusting.

It will still rust though....eventually, but will last a lot longer than normal.

Old chromed car bumpers rust eventually for example. Throw in heat and corrosive chemicals in the exhaust gasses and it speeds things up.

far too scientific for me this one...
corrosive chemicals + heat = rust
bugger that!

The name is misleading - I am not wise, or wooden.
