hi, a few questions for you guys.lol
i am re-spraying my nova in black. (its going to be a gsi replica or near to a gsi rep)
do i paint the rear bumper just with 2k paint without rubbing it down or will iu have to rub it down and plastic prime it then paint it?
http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o95/Greg_Mcknight/DSC00615.jpg
should i rub this down to metal and spray them black with the car or keep the vinyl stuff? would do you think?
http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o95/Greg_Mcknight/DSC00610.jpg
what will i do with the door handles?the way it is or black to match the car?
http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o95/Greg_Mcknight/DSC00609.jpg
and the petrol cap? what would look best so you guys think?

standard petrol cap mate -- with some bumper gel to make it blacker...

you would have to sand the bumper down and plastic prime it, there is a additive you can get for paint when spraying plastic, it makes the paint stretch or something, spray the door handles and petrol cap it would look better, the grey would stand out a mile on a black car

i agree
or do as most people do and get a full picture of the car and et someone to do a photoshop for you (jack)
Aye, full pic and I'll 'shop it.
Bumper: rub down and paint, the paint will stick better that way IMO. Vinyl: if you have window frames, keep it; if not then ditch it. Door handles: paint. Petrol cap: paint, or get a replacement plain metal one but in black.

The best thing i probly managed to do there was get rid of the bumper strip.
If you have some 3 spokes then get them on ... I put mine on today and love them.
Good luck with the car.

got my 3 spokes on! look at my project in the projects section.
thanks.
i afraid im using paint so changing wheels is a tad hard but i think lowered and smoothed looks very nice with black

right, i have decided what to paint and what not to etc.
i am going for black bumpers, black spoiler, grey handles, grey skirts, grey petrol cap...
but...i am undecided on what to do with my rear grab handle on the boot?
probably grey to match the skirts etc?..
also, i need to spray the skirts, but what is the colour code or name? i want it as close as the original vauxhall grey as i can get it.
i will leave the petrol cap and handles the way they are, but the skirts have been black before so need to spray them.
thanks,
Greg

what is a good grey colour that will look good with black? i could do with it being as close to the original grey on the skirts as possible.
could any of you guys do photoshops for me please. i would like to see my car with speedline allesios and/or irmscher softstars. thanks:thumb:
