electric window relay

I have just installed e/w's in my car, but need a relay to put in so the switch does not have all the power running through it. I do not have the original relay which links up with the central locking, so what type of relay do i need and how would i link it up. Thanks

The relay on the original Nova loom only deals with the central locking....it has nothing to do with the elecy windows.

The elecy window switches have the power running through them directly from the fuse box.

Actually, it's only 'cos I fitted central locking and elecy windows twice in the last few months....I wouldn't have known otherwise.
In fact, I wired up my central locking in the Antibes this afternoon......I swapped the looms over between the GTE and Antibes 'cos the one in the Antibes was for the windows and central locking, but the one in the GTE was just for the locking.
I swapped the elecy windows over to the GTE so needed the combined locking/windows loom in the GTE.
So that I'd still got central locking in the Antibes, I fitted the locking-only loom from the GTE into the Antibes, but only got round to wiring it up today.

whew....that was a bit long winded!
