fuell pump relay

how, if you can, do you test the fuel pump relay?
would i have to go to vauxhall for a replacement?

i think it is quite common for them to "go" mate. i dont know how you could test it really but basically its just a switching device with a small coil inside that flicks to and fro depending on whether it is getting a 12v signal, either making or breaking the circuit(in this case the fuel pump power)so a multimeter would be a start checking the connections to see if u r geting power when its meant to b there. i think u have to go to vaux for a replacement and they are not cheap me thinks.

my relay went a few weeks ago try tappin it that worked 4 a while, take the case off an see if uve got a broken connection they can be soldered, most places that deal in parts would have one or can order one bout 12-14quid dependeing on where u go,hope that helps
