The car has fire extighshers in them. When we are rallying the car, safety pins are put in to stop the extingishers going off or the pull cables being pulled when they should'nt.
So its a reminder to take them out before we start the first stage on an event, as much to my embarresment i got excluded from an event for not taking the pin out. As it was a safety issue it just punishment for not taking the pin out. oops:( :(
lovin' your sig dude lol Proper rally boy

yes was on the down side!!
Did that 22mile stage with a broken exhaust and no intercom!! We were still 18 sec quicker over the stage than the stage before! Did the stage in about 26mins which included long straights, jumps and tight hairpins
looks and sounds excellent that mate!
what do you compete in, the 1600 cup or something? and 7th overall is not a bad result what so ever!
Excellent stuff, and i really recognise that car from somewhere, did you purchase in or around the newtown area?

Upto 1600cc 8v/1400cc 16v class in scottish tarmac championship.
the c/ship is based on class results so the big do not always win!!
Give us smaller boys a chance.
Last event at crail finished 27th overall and 5th in class which included losing a min on first stage with loose front suspension. take that min off would have finished about 23rd and 3rd 1600cc car and the car still runs a standard engine and box!!! but it does have an LSD and astra gte front calipers with mintex 1155 pads( by the way cost 96 quid a set!!!)

Do not do forrest events as cost are just to high! the photo was on 200yrds of loose on a tarmac event! lol
Costs per event for me are between 500 and 800 quid, on forrest events that would rise to 1000 to 1400 quid per event.
My season last year dor 10 events last year was about 7 grand and that did not include buying the car for 3 grand.
Yes mintex are very expensive but by heck do they work.!! if it were not for the harnesses they would put u through the front windscreen.! lol

yeah some event fee's are mega lol espcially for the BTRDA, silly money  but if it generates income, then its worth taking part, saying that, even if its just a hobbie, its still well worth it!
As for the mintex, i will agree there! IMHO they are well worth the cost :thumb:
