I decided that I needed a better tow vehicle, the 307SW was ok but its just too new for bunging tools and the like in the back. Plus its not that stable at speed and I want to two the Nova knowing that I can go that little bit quicker without the trailer whipping and taking the two vehicle with it.

I also do a spot of marshalling for some rally's as well, so having a vehicle that could cope with driving a very muddy stage and not having to worry about it was also a consideration.

So there is the background. I have considered loads of vehicles including Volvos & Subarus but after talking with Chris and towing with the Trooper (Isuzu) I decided that something along those lines was the way to go. Anyway seen this on saturday and bought it. Its a Vauxhall Monterey 3.1TD and im chuffed to bits with it.

In a nutshell it's a long wheelbase Isuzu Trooper in draglol I took Chris and Jen with me to pick it up on Sunday since he owns a Trooper and could help me check it out. So many, many thanks go out to both of them for helping me out, its mucho apprciated:thumb:

It should pull the Nova along nicley and has plenty of space inside for all of my bits as well.

Indeed, I will pop up the barn any time now. My 306 is just too nice to take on all that mud and stuff.

Burgo as Chunny said that was Chris with the Isuzu Trooper. After being in that one towing our Novas I decided what I wanted was that type of vehicle for towing. Because as Mr Draper has pointed out you don't even know your towing a trailer, which is great because im ultra parinoid when towing.

Can't wait to see what they can do Chris, i've just been driving mine about all day getting little bits and bobs for it. I also love the fact that I can get under it and work without having to jack the bugger up.

Riggy, got to have a Vaux towing a Vaux......well not really..
