ive got a crack in the last section of my system, i dont no much about exhausts and wot the different parts are called but its the long thinner tube that conects to the large tube in the middle of the underneath or the car, there is a crack jsut b4 the conection, the engines fine etc... and its still goes well, mayby a slight loss in power due to pressure etc but nuthin drastic, it just sounds a bit shite, and im wonderin wot i can do bout it, i was thinkin that praps i need to get it welded?? but a the moment i dont have the money for that, ive wrapped a cloth round it, but obviously thats not really doin that much!! so wot can i do, without any expense?? and when i have the money can u buy just that thinner tube and get that fitted, if so were from and how much? thanx :D

you can buy exhaust wrap, (different to the stuff used to reduce heat in the engine bay!)its for repairing holes, and cracks in exhausts, i think you can also buy a paste type stuff that does the same thing. The cheapest way to replace it is to go to a car accessery shop (most places will order individual parts for you) and buy the section you need and fit it yourself :)

a guy i know had this problem on his cav.
he just bought some exhaust wrap and its been fine ever since... although it has recently cracked somewhere else.
I suppose thats what you get for having your cav lowered about 120mm eh. Foolish man. Told him it was much much too low.

What zorst is it?

Standard? Performance? Stainless?

New sections of zorst (assuming it's a standard spec. one) are dead cheap to buy.....back box is only about ?25 and the centre section is only about the same (for 1.2, 1.3 and 1.4) and that price often includes fitting.....not exactly bank braking.
