Is there any members who live in/near blackpool the reason i ask is because i hardaly ever see any nice nova's appart from the one i helped my mate build at the start of last year.Pics of any local ones would be nice to see.thanx.:)

dont know yet as ive just bought the car and its onli a 1.2 but its my sixth nova and i wont to keep it standard ish. I was thinking about puttin a 1.4 sr with a webber in it.but thats all ive thourt of.

Got a 1.4 engine to go in it. Dont know if I'm going to bother though. Might just find myself a nice GSi/GTE.

i was at blackpool in my purple nova on saturday, drove up and down the prom a couple times and went to a macdonalds but didnt have a clue where you b'pool lot hang about lol

im the other side of blackpool in preston, go there a lot usually to skate parks! this is my 1.2 with a 1.4sr wngine in it, although its got tsw's on now and is lowered 60mm, the skirts are off being painted!

yea, engine swap is easy got it done in a day and it was my first time (im 17), best to have the car that your taking the engine out of! need to change heater pipes because 1.2 is manual choke and 1.4 is auto, youv also got to put the dizzy ioff the 1.2 onto the 1.4 engine, also need the 1.4 downpipe! apart from that all wires and plugs are the same!

the engine shes got needs a few bits like exhaust manifold and a few other bits iirc, but ive got a spare 1.4 manifold that i could be convinced to part with!

hiya, i live in Blackpool and am now owning Nova number 14. You won't be seeing it on the road peeps as i'm still building it in my garage. It was a flame red 1.4SR and is slowing becoming my 1.6 T40'd track day ninja:cool:

car was stripped bare and all sound deadening and unwanted brakets and bits of metal removed, then stitch welded, hh plating kit fitted. heavy duty lower arms, GTE 22mm anti roll bars, upper sparco braces, every bush on the car is a deflex polly bush, all new wheel bearings, rod ends, ball joints...etc, perspex rear galss, new doors and wings, spare wheel well removed and welded, mark 2 SRi dash with customer gauge pods, GTE white clocks, will get a 6 point cage with door bars and a respray in flame red them some decals - engine is a e16se, pritty much standard block with arp rod bolts, re-built and cleaned, head is group a spec ( like billy B++ ) big valves, waisted inltet valves, 3 angle valve seats, ported and polished..etc, facet red top pump, fpr, twin 40 webers, AST2 kent cam and veiner pully, all new heavy duty lifters and rockers, dual valve springs, 1.4sr dizzy and loom, ashley heat wrapped exhaust, F13cr box with 4.18 cwp, ATE brakes with OMP discs, Gmax shocks and springs ( coilovers will follow ) 2 corbue buckets with fixed alloy mounts, sparco harnesses................
