trying too get my 16oo gsi runin better once it heats up starts chuging abit does not want too pull all the way through the revs seems too sputer then start pullin again any ideas?:confused:

I take it you have done new plugs & leads etc. or it could be the airflow meter

plug leads cap dizzy cap all done :( when i set up the timin marks it runs like **** but when u advance it a bit it runs better but the n chugs when heat up:confused:

are you runnng standard air box or induction kit? sounds like its fuel starved or not getting enough air!

try cleaning that, and the air flow meter! has your car got a lambda sensor?

But it shouldn't make much different which side of the plug its on.

where would the lambda sensor be ? the ron plug was at 95 i changed it too 91 that right no made any differnce seems too run ok when cold then stedly gets worse

Lambda sensor is on the exhaust manifold.

try disconnecting the lambda sensor and going for a drive, if there is no difference then your lambda sensor is f00ked!

ive got the same problem with my sri its fine on cold but when warmed up it doesnt want to no nowt ive got new lambda sensor, crank sensor, plugs leads dizzy etc etc and guess what it is: fuel pump its ded after 9mth use

Check the Rubber Hose ging into the Inlet, as they perish and under acceleration, when the engine moves back, the hole in the hose opens and lets too much air in.

If it were your coil, it'd stop altogether and not start. Try thr hoses as i said and see how you get on.

pump starts quiet then when its runnin after 2mins it gets louder wining noise all my hoses are fine

cheers lads got it sorted :thumb: feel like a d__k:tard: it was the leads bought a set of blue ones of e bay thinking they were mint they were not:eek: put new ones on away she went :)
