sri it

corsa sri, astra Si 1.4 and nova sri engines are all the same iirc

or keep it a touch smaller with a 1.3 sr lump

take it you don't want to change the tank? best off staying carb - 1.4SR?

You'll need a tank swap whatever engine you fit.
And a drivers side engine mount.

1.4SR, plenty fast enough for some one of your age Dave (well, when you pass i mean)

Very nippy engines, and IMHO still pretty quick compared to some of todays 1.4's

very true! my old standard 1.4 was quick i thought! but tbh i think i would start off with a smaller sized engine till you get a bit of experience etc. i know its only a 1.4 (if you put one in) but still

Aye 1.4. Maybe carb a 1.6... although feck knows how you intend to insure it lol

1st off id say get some miles racked up on the 1Ltr, see how you feel with that.

But if your hell bent on changing engines then as said id go for a 1300/1400SR.

Plenty fast and lots of posibilites for em too.
