hi all im will be running a mocal 13 row oil cooler on my 2l xe, will i need to run a thermostat or not? its a general driving/track car. http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j87/20xe/mynewpics157.jpg
Mate, what spec are those fans? PM me.
Looks like a good set up.
IMO, you wont need a thermostat if its a standard engine (ish)
Use the cooler attachment that goes between the engine and oil filter on a standard XE, it has a built in stat.
you WILL need a stat for road use otherwise your likely to over cool the oil and do damage to the engine.

The engine definately isn't standard, not with the pistons that are going into it! After a few phone calls Graham has decided to fit an oil stat, as it is going to be used on the road a fair bit more than on the track.
