first of all to decide if its worth buying a gsi or converting to one you need to asertain your current shells condition. if its rust free chances are you wont find a gsi/gte without rust so i would convert it my self. Alls you need is e16se engine loom and ecu and ancillaries gearbox and breaks and suspension set-up. Fuel pump and tank i would assume as well. And a full e16se exhaust system. Its really easy its about 4 wires to hook up the engine. all sits on existing mounts etc. id say if your handy with a spanner you could do it in a day. if your about as handy with a spanner as a nun with a dildo. then possibly a weekend or 2 with a friend

Doesn't the 1.0 have a different engine mount to the rest of the engines though?

No, 1.0 - 1.6 is a straight fit.
The mucky bits fit in with no mods, but the wiring is a little bit trickier than with a 1.2/1.3

Anyway, Do a thread search & the info is all on here.
You will not need to cut or drill anything.

As for strengthening, no not really, unless you plan to build a track basher or high power 1.6 (turbo conversion for example)

if the engines out you may aswell strengthen it imo it will help stiffen the front end which will help handling

its an easy conversion tbh, you can do it in a day (unless like me you go mad polishing, colour coding and chroming parts)

You can upload them to your own web server or a server running on your personal computer, so you don't need to sign up to image hosting websites.

And yeah your spelling is appalling.

Actually I believe you will need to change your tank as 1.0 tank has no fuel return.

you WILL have to change the tank, as you need a tank with an internal swirl pot :thumb:
