can you take a front bumper off with out taken the 2 13mm nuts off that hold the metal section to the bumper
thanks
Aye, get a tow rope and a tree lol
You can rip the bumper off the metal section, but its quite hard.
Its easier just remove the two 13mm nut thats hold the bar to the rails.

good idea nova's were ment to test people. no really there must be away i have all 4 selftappers out the sides and 1 13mm nut off the other 1 is just spinning it to small to get a grinder in or any cutting tool i know wen the bumper is off the car you can take the metal section out is this the case wen its on the car and how
You can remove the metal section from the car from inside the inner arches and remove the bumper and iron all in one.

yea after you get these little 13mm rusty nuts off
You can remove the metal section from the car from inside the inner arches and remove the bumper and iron all in one.
That would work :thumb:
Mine came undone no probs (the 13mm nuts) then I just unclipped it from the reinforcer thing and bolted that onto the car and then clicked the bumper back into that

it will be easy if i could get these 13mm nuts off why o why didnt vaux just put a tac weld on the back of the bolt so it didnt spin lose wen trying to take the 13mm nut off any other advice

iirc those bolts have a square 'collar'and a rounded head, so they (should) stay in situ. Or am I thinking of another car? lol
Can you not get a dremmel in there with a flexi 'shaft' mate?

Thats what I'd do. Unbolt the L-brackets from in the wheel arch. Took me about 5 minutes to remove my bumper the other day, and I'm Captain Mince.

I wouldnt try that... you'll more than likely bend the front end :D
Yeah, I was taking the pi$$ lol
Just rive it off man 'o' steel stylee
just use molegrips on the square bolt behind whats spinning then undo from the otherside? its not rocket science OR undo the inner bolts at the side and yank it off might not go back on very well though!

LOL either you're being very subtle Matt, or you missed my irony.
Phil is in Newcastle and owns a white Gsi, and wants to use bonnet pins for easy removal of bumper, get it lol
I'm a good lad me though :thumb:
