hey ppl, ma radiator is leakin and i was wondering what i can do 2 fix it, or buy a new one...... if this is possible, has anybody done this b4? if so how much was it??? radweld stuff isnt possible cause when i put antifreeze in it corrodes the rad weld.

What size/kind of rad is in ma SRi, are all rad's the same?? or could i mabye use one froma gsi???

u can use most nova rads (1.2/1.3/1.4/1.6) as all the hose connections are the same.
But i believe the rad used on the sri/gte/gsi are slightly bigger, or that might b the fan.
I was quoted ?30 for a rad from just novas.

I would advice you to get a new rad rather than trying to use rad weld etc (herd some bad stories resulting in busrt pipes).

BTW, make sure if u get a new unit u keep the temp switch that is screwed in the bottom on the radiator that turns on the fan at a certain temp. Always come in use (when u snap 1 of the connectors off doin an engine swop)

the sri will have a multiplug not spade connectors on the fan switch cause it's a mk2

1.0 freaky and different so keep away :)
1.2/1.3/gte/gsi/sri all tall rads
1.2i/1.4spi/1.4srmk2 all short rads
td/d tall and wide

u have to use a fan matched to the rad height, mk2 fans have different connectors from the mk1 ones

good condition tall rads go for ?10 round here in the scrappys.... try and keep away from the specialist nova pasts supplyers for std stuff like rads as they charge a bomb
