Hi,
Can someone give em an advice? My car keeps on cracking from the front (near the battery) with a standrd angine (983cc)... I would like to fit a td engine but I think that the torque of the engine will continue to ruin my car. I have 2 choices. 1st; try to fix it (welding etc..) 2nd; sell it. Do strut bars help? http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u56/CRL016/DSC00904.jpgthere is a picture of the crack

grind it right back to good bare metal mate, re-weld and seal it up properly IMO

plus you will need to do a LOT of work to fit a TD engine in the nova they have completly different mounts im sure. would need to weld the brackets of a nova td into your nova. IMO just buy a nova TD or convert your car to a e16se/e14se

Looks exactly like that to me too. Best to strip the sealer off and have a good poke around. remove the rusty bits and weld some new metal in.

It has gone there because it is a natural trap for moisture where the edges of the panels come together.
