Hi all,

I have the annoying problem of my fuel gage dancing about, telling me that I have a full tank the half then quarter all over the place!
Does anyone know if its an easy job and could I do it myself with a Haynes manual.

Cheers'

Dan

Don't Under estimate a 1.4

Its a common prob. not always easily solved.
If you decide to changes it, run the car right down on fuel. Jack the car up as much as you can safely at the back. The sender is at the rear of the tank and is removed by getting a large set of something like adjustable pliers and twisting it anti clockwise. A new 1 is quite expensive!

A lot of peeps have this problem and its not always the sender. My mates fuel guage was fine until he replaced his clocks with sri ones, it then started playing up.
So be careful, dont shell out loads of cash on a new sender until u know it definately needs replacing.
