my question is does it change wire colour after the old ecu which is now not there

and has anyone has this problem ive put voltage to the clock guage and that moves and the sensor on the engine is giveing a voltage just havein great dificluty connecting the two lol

Have you run the engine yet?
Dont want to state the obvious but the gauge wont move until the coolant warms up.
You should get continuity if you put a meter across the wire.

ye the engine runs and ive waited 4 the fan to kick in just so i knew it was warm enough to register and still nothing getin abit pissed off now cos it worked with the 1.2 in and all ive done is connect to the blue wire that the 1.2 used and the two blues in the foot well is that right ?

touch a screwdriver off the sensor and the manifold or somthing that will earth, get some one to sit in car an look at gauge it should go off the clock, think ignition has to be on, also your thermostat could be stuck open and just running very very cold mine did that.

The sender aint wired into the spi ecu... thats a different sender.
The one for the dash goes straight to the dash.

In the engine bay there should be the original blue wire that clipped on the inlet, fit that to the sender on your e16se inlet.
And it'll no doubt work fine.

The ! symbol is low brake fluid.
