why not just cut 1" off of stick and replace gear nob with a nice shiny new one, then learn to change gear quicker ;) :)

Bends were made to rule and rules were made to bend

I've fitted 1 and they're well good.
Follow the fitting instruction closely - they do work - also check Haynes.
I removed the rear engine mount and its bracket to get enuff room to be able to take the main pin out (support the engine at the back 1st!)
They reduce gear travel by about 30 to 50%. Gear changes are far more positive and less woolly and if you take your car to the max you will be a lot less likley to miss a gear.

the mounts hold the engine in the engine bay

he removed the rear one so he had more room to work

I aquired one of these gear linkages a few weeks ago and they make a hell of a diference. They take a bit of getting use to, but once you feel comfortable with it, you won't be dissapointed.

Jim.

P.S. CP fitted it to me car :) So he does know what he's on about (even though he's old) :p
