Hi all, fairly new to Novas so might be posting here a few more times!

No.1 Will calibra 2.0 16v brakes fit under my 14 inch sr alloys?

No.2 Whats tyres would you recommend too? Ones on at the moment have seen better days so thought I'd replace. Don't really want to spend more than ?50 a corner either.

Thanks for any help.

1. Only by grinding either the wheel or the calliper. Not a good idea IMO

2. Not a bad budget. Pirellis are always a good option, as are hankooks. Try to stay away from remoulds or budget tyres.

Cheers man.

Will discs and pads make much of a difference then?
Do the tyres have to be the same size as the ones on the mo? obviously diameter and width will be but can I stick some lower profile ones on?

you can shove lowrr profiles on yes

brakes make a massive diferance even more so if you upgrade brake master cylinder to the of the calibra or astra etc

personally i wouldnt grind the 2.0 to get them on, nor the wheels get some differant wheels

175/60 is the tyre size on a GSi with 3 spoke rim.

I'd put on 185/55 if you can afford them.

Otherwise find a set of 15" Vauxhall wheels off a Cav or similar & then fit 2.0 brakes & solve all troubles in one.
