changed my exhaust manifold today, seeing as ive broked my right hand ive done it all with my left, took forever! dont know how anybody pus these manifolds on, you cant get to the nuts once the manifold is in place, as you can see in the pic, theexhaust covers up the holes were on the old one they are easy to get to, very stressful! got it on in the end!

new and old!

You think thats bad, try putting a 3" bore exhaust round the rear differential and SSS on a GT4, into gaps that appear to only be 2." wide :tard: lol

I did my exhaust with my left hand, didn't take that long.....But I'm left handed. For annoying exhaust type things, get a 'professional' fitter to do it. it is their fault if they snap studs or it won't fit

easy with a 13mm ratchet spanner...

its not easy with a ratchet because the holes are directly behimd the exhaust pipe so you cant get a ratchet on it straight!

i dont reckon you can use a racket spanner either as the racket part of it is rather chunky an fouls the flange. That might be some other manifold not sure but all i know is ive lost massive amounts of skin of hnads fitting those gay things lol

aahh i see, didnt read properly! ratchet spanner would be better but still tricky!

I have a selection of spanners. 1/4, 3/8 & 1/2 drive sockets, ratchet rings, offset rings, flat rings & open enders I find that you can't have too many of them. I also buy cheap ones & bend them to suit odd shaped jobs. GM manifolds are usually gits.

Just looked at the piccy again, what is the pigeon poo welding on the old one for? did you cut it & grind the 2 pipes for more flow or was it just a patch?

Good work for a one handed effort.
