I'm sure I read on here once that you can use the internals from MKII Cav elecy mirrors, and fit 'em into your Nova mirror outers?

Is this true?

I'm asking 'cos my uncle is braking a MKII Cav GL and he says I can have the mirrors, switch and loom for nowt if I can make use of 'em.

If not the cav ones, is it the Astra ones?

Cheers lads ;)

yes thats correct i had elec mirrors in my mk2 sr

you have to cut the bit that bolts to the door to get the connector into the door cause it's too big for the existing hole

then find some where for the switch to go (i had mine in the section infront of the elec windows

for the loom you need to shave off one of the locating pins so it can piggy back onto the elec windows connector (black) in fuse box the relay on the loom is just for the heated mirror glass in the cav but this glass will not fit in the nova housing and you can not get the heated element out out the cav mirror

B-)

Cheers ste.....I thought it was you that mentioned it before.

Pity about the heated glass not being useable though. Ni mind.

I'll have to pay my uncle a visit I recon ;)

Cheers again :)
