View Full Version : C20XE in nova, top hose, what from??
What top hose (rad to thermostat housing) do i need for my c20 nova, i'd prefer not to cut hoses around if poss, is there a gen vaux hose i can use?
Will i need to remove some metal from my front panel?
A Std 1.2/1.3/1.4 one fits well apparently.
Straight on.
You can buy silicon hoses from regal / courtenay as seperates especially for XE nova's.
Or just chop a hose you have lying around ya big homo!
And normally there will be no slam panel issues, but by the look of it, yours isnt being straightforward lol

Hmm, might be worth looking into. But it needs to be done for pvs!
Ad, the standard hose goes no where near, might be something to do with the engine being slightly higher than kate moss.
Lol bt, done loads of xe swops before and they've all been a piece of pish. bloody typical i have trouble doing mine!
Ok bt what hoses have you used on yours :gay:
I used a flexi pipe got my one off a corsa i think the 1.2 novas had then
You not got any of your 1.6 16v hoses about John, the top rad hose is enourmous on the corsa's IIRC
Samco silicon ones lol
Flash git!lol
I have a 1.6 16v top hose and it's mahoosive! won't go anywhere near.
Corsa top hose also won't fit (yes i've tried!)

Not even with some imaginative chopping?
Get your self an 'emergancy water hose' from Halfords, very flexible and cut to length, costs about ?12. Used these on XE and LET conversions without any probs.
Rich
Standard 1.2/1.3 You have to cut a bit off each end though, fits a treat.
Thanks for that rich, might give that one a go, been hacking some hoses up today, and no matter how i do it, it flattens the hose just at the front panel. Perhaps a little too much for my liking, don't want to restrict water flow.
