well im on the hunt for a 1.4sr bottom end and 2day i ad a quote for a j reg 1.4sr engine complete done 42k for ?175 all in wiv 12mth gaurantee, reckon its any good??. im still not sure bout fixin my exising bottom end though. Need shells, new piston, rod, small ends, and if i was to do that id probas do all the rings. but im on a short budget if was to get the whole engine i could sell all the other bits and make sum money bak e.g head carb etc. Also is there any tests that i could do wiv the engine out the car, to test how good it is, cause i dont wanna put it in and find out its fooked, then av to waste more money on gaskts etc.
