Itis poss to get high bhp from a 1.4 but it costs! There are many things that can feck it up for you. But fit the gear and see! It's got to be quicker innit? Just remember to get it set up correctly after you fit it. But beware of bhp quotes from companies who are after all trying to get you to spend a fortune. If they quote 130bhp that may mean 110bhp or less! Then again you can get lucky and have a little more....... You also have to remember that tourque is king I've raced a 157 bhp 1.6 8v against my ill valver (140bhp) and I always won.

Yes it is poss.
Yes it is worth it.
It'll cost easily ?500- 750+ depending on wot u do and how much is 2nd hand.
MPG - high 20's to mid teens.
0 -60 ?? under 7.0 easily- take out weight

MC's car was a prime example of how fast they can be!! I raced him on the M25 and his car when it was in 1.4 trim, wiped the floor with my GSi!!! I am not proud of that though and that is why I am building a valver now!!! :)

2.0 16v on it's way soon!!! (again!!!!) :)
