UFO in my garage

I was working in my garage earlier when I heared a tapping noise coming from the roof. I ignored it at first thinking it was probably a bird, then realising that it was getting dark and well past any self respecting birds bed time, I went to investigate and found this bastid purched inbetween two flurescent tubes. Anybody seen one before or know what it is?

I took the picture using maximum zoom as I didn't want go anywhere near it. But to give you an idea of it's size, it is about the length of a cigarette!

It could well be a moth, a very big ****ing moth. It's just the thing that looks like a stinger that makes me think otherwise.

You should see the grub's they are huge like a witchety grub. They have big eyebrows as well(not the grubs).

You get loads of them down Southampton... especially in the New Forest.
I used to piss on them as a lad in the urinals while on camping holidays.
