Turbo conversions need to have mods done to the engine to lower the compression ratio. To get the most out of them you also need to be able to run high boost which can be a pain/expensive to get, run and maintain reliably. Ultimately they tend to give quite a bit more power. Initial response is not brilliant although modern 1's have got much better in this respect. Really need a sizeable brain on board to get mental power which is v. expensive (like rally/race budget).
Throttle bodies are the modern equivalent of carbs really, linked to direct injection and an ecu etc. They represent the best choice to get the most out of a naturally aspirated car running on ordinary fuel. As with carbs, response is good but they dont have the advantage of having air forced in as with turbos' or superchargers for max hp.
Both need good ecu/mapping to get the best out of them.

cheers :D
form the standard 2litre and 1.6 how much more bhp do u get from both of these mods??
and also, in a situation were money is no prob, can u have both?? or is that impossible? and if so wot, roughly, would the performance b, and would it b worth the ?1000's spent??
and another thing, with sri, and sr 1.4 is it worth takin the back seats out and fittin roll cage and sports seats etc.. does it really improve acceleration etc due to weight loss???

Forget Turbo.....Supercharger is better.

Don't know if anyone's done it on a Nova though :-/

Actually, Turbo and Supercharger is quite a nice combo :D
