what carb and manifold will fit my e16se i am not bothered bout power for now just wanna get my car running
The conversion to carbs is actually more complex that just getting the efi to work properly.
the efi motor has no place on the cam to fit the fuel pump, so an electric one will need fitting. the ignition system will need creating from scratch.
Which bit of the efi motor are you having trouble with?
Could just fit a 1.3 inlet and carb.
And carb dizzy/coil/module.
Dont expect it to run too well tho.

still won't have a fuel pump though.......

the engine turns over and that and i have fuel but it wont inject intto engine
long live the nova - would i need the 1.3 dizzy and coil
You need a 1.4 dizzy etcto fit the gte's cam.
Would need a regulator get the gte's pump pressure down.
Is the fuel pump running off the relay? Or have you wired it direct?

what sort of regulator is needed
One like this

You'll also need cut the fuel relay wires, and wire the "trigger" wires to a switch, to switch the relay manually(as you'll have no ecu to do it)

fuel pump is running off relay the fuel is there but it wont start if you squirt petrol into air intake it runs
Does the fuel pump run when cranking?

yep
Cool, so the dizzy is working.
Check the wiring to the injectors.
And also, are your fuel pipes on the right ones? Return to regulator?

not sure return to regulator?
Tank return pipe to the pressure regulator

yes thats on there is fuel pressure and everything it just wont go as i say if you squirt petrol into it it runs i thought faulty injectors maybe
Check the engine earths(g/box to chassis), maybe the ecu is getting a bad earth so cant switch the injectors

there is good earths on it, do you have any bits for sale which i would require for the carb conversion i notice you have some parts

how much you want for it. are they easy to wire up and that when i get all parts
You will need wire a carb dizzy/coil, 3 wires.
Personally i'd persist with the efi engine and get it running tho

and any other last ideas as to why efi wont start
?17 delivered mate.
One of the carb stud threads is fooked tho, and its missing the studs so you would need get them.

The injectors are not firing, so either there not getting 12v, or the ecu is not earthing them.
I'll go over the earth connections, think theres some on the fuel rail..
Make sure there clean and tight.

so how do i check if they are getting 12v
My first gte lump, back in 1992 came with a blown ecu, and i just could not get it running, so I towed it to the local bosch diagnostic specialist. for about ?100 labour (I found a s/hand ecu) he got it running sweetly.
It will save you loads of time & aggro if it really is some fiddling little thing.
