E16SE - Which fuel hose

Daft question I know but can't find anything in Haynes

My E16SE has two fuel pipes coming from the fuel rail to connect to the fuel pipes from the tank - which takes fuel in and which sends fuel back to the tank?

The return line attaches to the regulator(the bit with a vacuum hose on top)
Supply goes to the other connection.

leave the return pipe disconnected, but draining into a pot, connect one of the 2 pipes up to the feed. if you have put it on wrong, the fuel won't come thru when you turn on the pump a few times.
