Err ..removed the horn and wires connected to the horn push ..

Then took out the nut thing and clip on the inside ...

Then added some WD40 and alot of pulling strengh...

But we have tried so hard and it just won't go on !!! :(

I don't know why you removed anything other than the wheel........
all you do is take the horn push off, undo the nut & washer, fit a puller & undo, or you undo the nut until it is flush with the top of the bolt, get a mate to pull like hell on the wheel, & give the nut a whack with a hammer to shock it off.
if you don't follow the above procedures, you have probably collapsed the steering column & will need a new one.

Well ... All i can say is ... My dad did it all apart from i used my muscles to pull it off lol ..

So did he hit it with a hammer?
If it was simply pulled straight off, then apart from the simple job of lining up the splines onto the shaft, it should fit straight on, all of the nova, astra, cav, calibra steering wheels fit the same..........

He put wood behind the steering wheel then hit the wood with hammer... then i just pulled...

how many times do you want us to tell you that you have knackered the steering column?????????????

Jon_nova1

sounds likely, its not going on because the column is halfway down, undo the bolt at the bottom of the column (near your feet) take the steering lock off and pull the column out and look at it ;)

Well i guess i just don't want to admit it .. I could still find a diff problem with it ... If it is the steering column then thankyou... I mite find out later when my uncle comes up (mechanic) ..
