u reckon just change the rubber hoses, it only does it on one side, the front left? ive had a few people tell me to change the master cylinder. Did yours do it on one side or both?

On the drivers side first then the passenger side. If I was you I would change them both at the same time, then you wont have to worry about killing another disk and pads. Drain the brake fluid while your changing the pipes, and use some new dot 5 fluid. Your master cylinder should be fine.
