Morning all,

Right this isn't a Nova Question.

Its a Toyota one, mate of mine is suffering with what I'd say is clutch slip, not quite typical though.

When the cars moving and you place the engine under load, i.e. overtaking all that results is a lot of shudder and not much else. The revs are not shooting up as you'd typically expect, it isn't particularly speed dependant or rev dependant.

Am I right with this?

Cheers

Maybe a contaminated friction disc(with oil from crank seal or something)

Or a fooked/warped friction disc/cover.

I'd wip the box off and have a ganders.

Check simple things first like the cable etc, or clutch cylinder if its a hyd clutch./
