This is a non nova related question - can anyone help?

I have a Seat Ibiza 1.4s 1999 (v reg) 3dr and I've just been told that the rear axle bushes are shagged.

Now - I dont particularly wanna have to pay a garage ?250+ (mnost of which is labour) to fit new bushes if I can do it myself however as this car is my daily workhorse whilst me Nova rebuild is ongoing, I need advice from someone on who straight forqrd Ibiza bushes are to replace.

Anyone help?

I've posted on a couple of Seat forums and no ones really come back to me (plenty of views though).

So - does anyone know what sort of bushes are on a rear axle for a Seat -Ibiza (eg are they molded like the Nova ones and if so can the ends just be cut off and pushed out?

HELP!

Shagged bushes on a 99 motor?

Either they are pants or the car has been hammered.

Nah - apparantly Seat's are prone to fecked bushes - theyre hollow apparently!!!

Seat forums I've been on have all said the same - goes for VW's too (Polo etc - what with them sharing parts etc...)
