A mate has offered me bigger front ARB for the Nova, off a GTE.

Im assuming its a straight swap between my standard 1.2 ones and the GTE items? Just wanna double check.

Anything else I need to consider whilst they are off?

Thanx :thumb:

what suspension set up do you have?

I have springs and shocks :D

Sorry too tempting lol , I got H&R Springs ~30mm & KYB Shocks, currently no rear ARB and standard front ARB. Handles really well but I wanted to see if it was any stiffer/better with the uprated items.

I know that some people opt out of the front ARB's but no harm in giving it a go I say.

with just springs a shocks the gte anti roll bar would probably help. try and get the back one tho and that should make the most improvment

imho, rear one = yes, front oen = no.

even on std suspension.... its just the front ARB is a pants design

My thoughts too. The GTE stuff will prob make a bit of difference to the front. The rear one im still out there trying to get a GSi rear ARB as its the largest one @ 22mm.

Not many of them about :(

See what you are saying but surely a slightly uprated one will be at least slightly better then the ones off a 1.2.

Still gonna try it and see what happens.

it will be stiffer than the 1.2 one but most people prefer not to run arb on the front all together. I dont run one on mine an never have.

if your swapping from an 18mm front ARB to a 22mm ARB do you not need the thicker tie bars off a GTE/GSi or similar to match up? just a thought

Gaz

good point, never thought of that TBH.

I wouldnt know off by hand coz never tried it. Only way to find out is to try fitting em :) unless someone else has tried it or all tie bars are the same size between all models.

I'll keep you posted.

the tie bars are also thicker on the "sporty" models
