Got these wires coming out my GTE loom and unsure where they go. Can anybody help?

There's two longer ones: a green/brown and solid blue (with the ends cut off)
And two shorter ones with connectors: a green/brown and solid brown

Thanks :D

I reckon the two smaller wires towards the right of the pic will be temp sender/thermostat switch wires.

As for the other two - LLTN, take it away

I don't think he's entirely sure, and he's helped me enough the past few days so he deserves a break lol

temp sender/thermostat switch wires

They both have spade connectors on; where abouts would they go to then?

LLTN will know lol Ive been helping him with this for about the last week! lollollol

Unfourtunately there wires that i dont recognise, solid blue i would say dash temp sender, but im not sure if thats on the car loom?

the brown will be an earth surely ?? or do you mean the brown and the green brown are in the same plug ??

The spade connectors 'should' go onto temp senders on th head somewhere.

As to where, i aint got a clue.

Start it up and see whats not working/working incorrectly

Yeah.

But its poking out by the top of the gearbox and is a short wire so i cant see where that could go.

I thought the ignition coil at first, but iain says the coils already wired.

Horn?

No horn's on the car loom, these wires are on the GTE engine loom.

Yes Draper I'd have thought brown would be earth but it has a spade connector as if it's supposed to attach to something.

I'll see how much I can wiggle the loom as to where the wires will reach. :)

the spade connector could be irrelvent tbh, could just be because the previous owner cut it accidently etc

does the car start and run ??

me and baxter fell for this one! the blue is water temp, the lug it plugs onto is hiding down the back of the inlet manifold :thumb:

The green/brown is a diagnostics isnt it? Just tape it up, out of the way.
