before anyone says i hav tried the guides but none of the links work and iv tried searching bu ti cant find the thread which shows you which numbers to be looking at to see which final drive my gearbox has. so anyone got a link or know the answer??

Stamped on the end of the box, under the end cover.
Might need wirebrush it to see it.

gearbox info in my sig link....

although that appears to be down at the moment lol

there is a number like 374CR (probably worng but i dont care)
the number is the FD ie 3.74
and the CR = close ratio WR=wide.

The key numbers will be something like W3.94 which stands for Wide ratio cluster with a 3.94 diff. The other numbers such as A12345 to do with where the box was put together. the box number eg F10 may be cast somewhere on the top. hope that helps.

aye the numbers are stamped on the end casing i think there a a whole range of different diffs but all tyhe diffs and gear cllusters are the same, astra nova corsa cavalier are all interchangeable, i think the diffs var 3.5 3.7 3.9 4.1 4.3 and 4.5 i think not 1oo% sure
