i know these questions come up day in day out but i have had a look at the wires on the back of my dash and am left over with brown/blue, brown/yellow and brown not black/white/green, brown/white and brown/red as per the diagram below all the other wires are accounted for i know two of them are unused but which one is the brake fluid warning one that i attatch to the handbrake warning light

please help and please note im sh1t at electronics

Brown/blue-ecu light
Brown/yellow-Choke light

Then you should have a black/green, and a black/white, not a black/green/white.

is that diagram not very good then? im left with a brown/blue, brown/yellow and brown not sure which plug there coming from ill check in the morning

Solid brown is earth.
B/blue, B/yellow aint needed if you dont have ecu/choke.

ok so the i looked a bit more closely at the diagram and the wires im rabbiting on about are whats left over from the nova loom mine is an sri so will need the ecu light?

If the engine still runs an ecu, yeah.

so i will atatch the blue yellow (ecu light) to ???? on the nova loom.
bear with me im not stupid just not to good/confident with electronics, despite working as an electrician for a short time.

Your SRi loom ecu light is brown/blue.
Connect that to the ecu light wire on the digidash.

and all the stuff about connecting wires to the indicator stalk is that neccessary?

also my dash has got the white and black plug and it plugs into the back of the dash as my freind thought there were meant to be two other plugs on the loom

YEah, you have to connect them to the stalk wires.

are there already wires coming from them? and from the headlight switch or do i have to put new ones in?

Yeah there already there.
Just splice into them, dont cut them.
