just got myself a gto 4000 amp, 12" sub and 6x9's. and a wiring kit. but have no clue how to link it all up in my car.
was looking at the thread about ice install but looks completely different from what i have got. have this odd object that looks like a fuse. but its see through. and i think water resistant. so is that the one that goes by the battery. am very confused lol. never done an ice install before.

i know the red wire goes to the battery and black wire is ground.

have a thick gold and red wire...what the hell does this do lol.

does the rca cable to the the head unit?

and what is a remote turn on? is this the thin blue wire.

and whats bridging and tri-mode. which is best? and whats the difference.

gota learn somehow so hope someone can help.

thanks all
chris

btw have a pyle link plam14 1000watts wiring kit.

red battery
black to earth
rca to headunit
remote to remote wire from back of stereo then to remote on amp so it turns on and off with the stereo
bridge mode is for 2 or more channel amps to run in 1 channel for subs

how many speaker terminals is on the amp ? did u want the amp to run the sub and the 6x9's?
trio mode must be if u want left and right speakers(door speakers)
and an amp to run all of a 3 channel amp not sure on this as i just have a vibe amp powering my sub which dosent need to be bridged

if tri-mode is for door speakers i dont need to worry about that. dont have any lol.
