Ok my cars almost ready to run now'but hit a problem.wot happens is. alarms are turned of and immobilisers. come to start it. or put ignition on and its dead'theres no ignition lights at all. but the hazard lights work'electric windows. which run on the same curcuit i take it.??fuse is intact.! so where do i go from here? any advice please?

Sounds like dodgy wiring, have you changed the engine? The injection stuff may not have power to it? Possibly a dodgy rely if it's a multi-output (double pole)one? Need more info/ specs.

Its a real head scratcher - I saw yur car on Tues Chris:) - looks mint and really frustrating that it won't go:(

Can't really offer any advice since Alan knows his way round electrics. Who fitted the alarm etc originally? Can they be fetched out/ bypassed? They can be faulty can't they?? sorry more questions than answers

Ok heres the update
we have ignition ! the car will fire over.!
only problem is no dash lights at all! no read out. normally if lights have gone in dash u can still see the read out slightly.. but theres nothing.! im thinking my dash has died.! im gonna pop up the weekend and have a look around the dash and wiring.! . alans a top bloke and rob. !! i think its proving more of a pain than we first thought.
as for me alarms. i wus informed. no matter if the alarms knackerd or not. i should behable to get ignition lights.
so we shall see.
anyhow cheers cp and maybe ill catch u one of the days up there..!

lol i could sort this but i'm miles away :p

16v Nova - Toolkit, Trouble, Points and great expence all come as standard :)

2.0 16v back soon :D

Well my cars lights did not work only side lights and the heaters did not work so i will see if it works next time i put me engine in! Rick
