New Engine?

Got offered a complete 1400SR, which i've already got, was gonna take it anyway as its dirt cheap. But i was wondering what mod's i could add to this one to make it quicker than mine, 14NZ with 4 - 1, full system, 1300 inlet & head and weber 32/34. Is it worth getting bottom end overbored, but keeping it a 1400, lightned and balanced bottom end, then wack my top end on as it is? Would it make much of a difference?

im currently working on my c14se and getting the crank and flywheel lightened and balanced for ?160 that includes clutch balancing too, i'm not sure on the exact gains id get, but id think its alot more for the money than most mods :)
