View Full Version : 1.6i GTE - What Mods?

I've got a GTE which is pretty standard apart from a k+n induction kit and a full janspeed system. Basically I want more power, top end doesnt really bother me but i want good accelration through 1st to 3rd really. What mods would you suggest? I'm a engine novice btw

piper cam and or a chip not chip shop chips! fse boost valve even though they do nowt! but i felt the difference with 1800 injectors! n there cheap! polishing n porting 2!

Funny you mention 1800 injectors 'cos I was going to ask if they give any advantage.

So they do then?

Which ones have you used mate?

i have s set of 2l injectors off a cav130sri i was gonna put on mine. i had 2 sets and matched up the closest 4. You can buy them cheap if u like m8.
a cam is probly the cheapest mod for the amount of power on top of what u have, but id also recomend a chip as it will increase ur rev band. Can probly get you a chip very cheap aswell!
If u still want more power your looking as big money. like a head is ?500+

the injectors used in the grp a nova gte are gsi2000 items

16v Nova - Toolkit, Trouble, Points and great expence all come as standard :)

2.0 16v back soon :D

1. Blydenstein B+ pack head conversion or similar.
2. Novatech have done a mod to the std injection inlet manifold so that it is bored out and can take a large throttle ( out of a 2.0l?) Their engine also has an Enem?? Cam (from Scandinavia)in it and is pushing out plenty horsepower.
3. Swap a 1.4Sr gear cluster into it

Ste, are the injectors from the gsi2000 a straight swap??

Blydenstein B+ head with matched bigger valves is ?390+vat+ur head

I'm getting one in the new year.
