at 19 you will probably have a great deal of trouble finding a company that will even quote you, if they will then your looking at in XS of £2000 at a guess. Try calling some of the companies out of the back of Max Power or Fast Car that say High Performance. You would probabluy be better off going for a 1.6 GSI till your 21, thats when the insurance bracket changes and you will be looking more likle paying £1200 a year. Hope that helped.

dont even think about it till your over 21,
or otherwise thats all you'll be paying for the rest of your life,
my m8 without thinkin of askin about the insurance first went straight out and had the 2.0 16v conversion, and my god is he regretting it ?2500 he is clean as fuck, no speedin convictions, and driving for 4 years without any crashes, and he also forgot about upgrading everything else such as brakes, suspension strengthning the chassis etc.
its sittin in his garage doin absolutly fuck all, its a shame its a crackin example
hope thats helped

19? 1 years ncb...sorry m8 no chance. i pay ?600 fc 5yrs ncb no crashes 3 points 25yrs old
it also makes a BIG difference where u live, if you live in middle of sheep land it will be a lot cheaper than someone living in a town.
When doing the conversion, make sure you get a strengthening kit put on as well, (i can recommend a Harry hockley motorsport grp a one) and get the whole engine bay seamwelded, as it makes a HUUUUUUUUGE difference to handling!
as well as sorting at least 16v brakes and decent suspension.
for insurance ring, privilege, greenlight adrian flux, and herts insurance consultants, they tend to be the best. any probs mail me
cheers ian

Hey I'm 28 (ahem) full no claims belled up to fuck super duper we love you type bloke and it's still costs me ?676 fc a year and the fucking forms I had to fill in were amazing!!!!
No offence but you might have more luck shagging the queen mother then getting insured for under 2g's Sorry!
PS for all of you who insure with a flux did you double check the small print you might think you are insured but R U? They had me down as a non drinking non smoking holier than thou type bloke with all sorts of alarms that i never said i had. Any way what I'm saying is if you don't check what they've put you WILL be fucked if you have a claim!
