how do you fit seats?

I just bought some front SR/i red & grey seats for my J reg 1.2 nova and they have different subframes to the seats i have in at the mo. What do i do to get them to fit? thanks:thumb: :thumb:

remove the old seats with the funny tilt bar at the front. and you'll see some hooks at the back of the new sub frames. hook these into where the old runners went, bolt the front down, and bobs your uncle. or aunty, depending on where your from...

They seem to have different fittings at the back though? as the seats i have bought have the sliding bit already on them but the sliding bit is part of the body on my car(not bolted on) i dont think that i can remove the slidy bit on my new seats either :wtf:

well you can ghange the subframes and they will prob fit, the bolt holes should be the same

just undo the four 13mm bolts at the front of each seat then slide them to the most forward setting.
Then remove a small spring clip thing at the back of the runner and lift the front up wile tilting the seat back untill the rear peice of the slider will come out of its mount.
Make sure that the new seats are in the most forward setting and lower the back part of the runners in first then lower the front and put the bolts in by hand noting that there are only 2 bolts for each seat now.
Once the seat is in slide the seat back and do up the 2 13mm bolt and repeat on the other side 30mins max.

use the sliders that are attatched to the car, and slide the back of the sliders on the new seats over them. it aint rocket science
