Want to relocate my door speakers on my door cards. Currently they are on the right hand side of the door card when he door is shut its facing the side of my seat, which isn't helping the sound. This is how my car has always been.

Want to relocate them to the bottom of the door left hand side where the door pocket is basically. Will probably move the door pocket back a bit or mod it slightly.

Any aftermarket door pods available ready to go in? Dont really wanna spend time making ones from fibreglass, just want a quick fix to it.

Oh and any pics would be nice of aftermarket ones fitted

look to the very left of this pic, just fit them straight into the door! The hardest/longest part is drilling the holes to wire them up!

i have just done mine the other weekend havent put my cards back in yet as didint want to cut the original ones and have some spares in my garage but have lost the keys! as said hardest part is wiring them through the doors i fitted by tweeters where the original NOKIA speakers. but the wiring is defenatly 40% of the task at least

I already have wirring in the door as my speakers are actually in the door cards but the guy who did it last, probably 18 years ago, fitted the speaker facing the side of the front seats.

I wanted door pods to kinda angle the speaker upwards and to be right at the bottom corner of the inner door. I have seen it been done before thought it could be an aftermarket over the counter jobbie.

iirc you can buy them from quad conversions although i think they're a bit pricey! Or i think a lad on here may have been selling some a few weeks back 'paulcardy' i think it was, look in the for sale threads :thumb:

Them pods might end up hiting you in the leg everytime you get in the car, I has some abit like them and they got in the way novas are to small, if your going to put the speakers in the front of the door then watch out for the strap hitting the back of the speaker when closeing the door

Well I've been looking at the speaker pods and lets say im stunned at how expensive they are i mean 95 quid. Looks like they are gonna stay on hold for a while.

I had a look at the guy who was selling some on here but again 75 quid is a bit out of my price range, I could get a few things needed for the car for that price.

Maybe later down the line something may come up a bit more affordable.

Thanx for the help

If you're not massively fussed about a factory finish, make them out of MDF and cover them in carpet. Not as hard as it sounds...
