'ey mateys

heard these things are eating the 10bhp diff between 1.2 and 1.2i, if i remove it will i get all that power back?

i've been told: if you alter the exaust internal pressuse it knocks the engine out of tune because the car relys on some back pressure to draw the fuel in to the cambers

i've heard this other places too but a while back now

what do you all recommend? i'm not gonna be modding it much, just a little :)

i think if u get a std 1.2/1.3 exhaust fitted (or maybe a gte centre section) u can deat easily, but u wont get 10bhp!!!
Ste us the best person to answer this cuz im not sure if the 1.2i's r like the rest exhaust wise.
i know of problems u can have by reducing the backpressure due to de-catting. I think if u rev ur engine and let go of the pedal, ir sometimes dies and needs restarting.
Im not sure about the ECu either, with other models u can reset the ecu and it will tune itself, maybe its the same on the 1.2i?

fit a 1.2 nova carb front section then reset the ecu by taking the battery off overnight

16v Nova - Toolkit, Trouble, Points and great expence all come as standard :)

2.0 16v back soon :D
