View Full Version : TAS/Competition engine mounts
Anyone know where you can buy some TAS or similar competition engines mounts from?
TIA, Mazz..
make your own with tigerseal....
make your own with tigerseal....
how?
iirc all you do is fill the gaps in the mounts with tigerseal - seems a little bodgey to me though..
Chris Astley has got them on for 145 - might get some of those..
oh ok.prtty simple really then

Does Chris do just the solid alloy ones or rubber type ones too?
I got a set of unused TAS ones last year. Quite chuffed with that little find!
Mine should be here today/tomorrow so i'll slap some pics up Craig

Ah I see, billet with soft centres. At first glance they look solid (me lazy).
Some people fit them at staggered intervals to soften them rather than all 3 at once.
If you assemble all mounts & bolts loosely, then offer up to the car it should all line up nicely before torquing it all up.
good advice craig! wish id thought of that lol
So is it worth fitting them staggered then? Or just slap all 3 in at once?

Staggered. No doubt I'll get shot down for talking nonsense but I've read it in an article about Brett Warburtons old XE beast.
Makes sense IMO.
