I heve been offered 2 twin webbers (type: 40 DCOE) I'd like to know if they would fit to my Vauxhall MKI GTE (1.8) or that it wouldn't perform.
(Sorry for my poor English)

yes they will fit but you will need to buy the proper inlet manifold for your engine, check sumwhere like demont tweeks

Buy em anyway if the price is right - there's a very healthy demand 4 them even if you don't use them!
Should fit if you can get the right inlet manifold. See if you can get the throttle linkage that goes with them if poss. Its quite expensive to buy new.
You ought to buy a fuel pressure regulator as well.

They cost 45 euro I don't know how much that is in English pounds... Do you know huw much a new inlet manifold would cost?
Does this type of webber fit to al 1800 engines (I mean if a have anotherr 1800 engine from another brand would it also work on that engine?)

In the UK they are around ?130 (for a 1.6)
