been offerd a 1400 injection astra engine out of a k plate looks like my gsi but it has a coil pack and a cat is this the one fitted too nova aswell :confused:

no not the same as GTE engine anyway, SRi's have lambada sensors, GTE 1.6's have Air Flow meters instead an NO cat i belive

it is the same as a 93 sri engine, with the dispak, very commom in astras , handy too as the engine loom is seperate!

gsi is similar jus different stroke and different injection system i thought gsi had lamba sensors and cats to lol

What will clarify the issue fully, is whether the engine number is C14SE or not.

That is the SRi multipoint engine code. Anything else is not an SRi lump.
