im eventurly wanting to fit cav/calibra turbo/v6 brakes but theres one major problem

there both 5 stud

i know you can get them re drilled but it seems abit unsafe so i aint having it done

i heard from a pretty reliable source, fiat coupe turbo 284mm disks fit and are 4 stud ???

so if i get v6 calipers and pads with fiat coupe turbo disks will it all just bolt on or are the fiat coupe disks wrong PCD ???

any help useful

(PS: i know ill need a minimum of 15"s)

You need the 20V Turbo disks and they pretty much bolt on... ytou need to slightly elongate one hole and thats it.

PCD of the Fiat discs is 98 and Vauxhall is 100 so they are pretty much the same.

I managed to bolt them straight on but it can be a bit fiddly getting the bolts through with the holes not beign quite right. Also the Fiat discs have no countersunk hole to screw the disc to to stop it moving about when trying to get the wheel back on so it can be a pain.

Will F,

Are you sure you mean the 20V turbo discs? these are fairly monster like 304/6/8mm diameter with 28mm width discs, this along with the 4 pot Brembo's is what i'm ugrading my 16v Integrale to! They surely won't fit under 15's on a vauxhall!

The 16v delta integrale discs are 284x24mm which I believe are the same as the 16v Turbo coupe, I was going to use these on my nova as a slight upgrade from the cav Gsi setup I have, is it the v6 calipers that can be used on this diameter disc?

Also for those that have done the fiat disc conversion, isn't the hub bore the same diameter, therefore locating the disc centrally? thus elongating the bolt holes to allow the PCD increase from 98 to 100mm will not affect the balance of the wheels?

Cheers, Dave.

Redrilling to 4 stud is perfectly safe. many have done it before & lots of people will do it in the future.

I guess it all comes down to cost of discs etc at the end of the day. But as it says above, the FIAT ones dont strictly fit, so that should be an equal concern for you.

Get turbo brakes, better pedal feel.

2.0 16v brakes are 256mm

turbo/v6 brakes are 288

there are plenty of places that do re-drilled disks these days, just do abit of searching

found some at lmf sound cheap enough and you can get them drilled/grooved

ANY engineering workshop with a pillar drill and adeqeute measuring equipment should be able to drill them!

Theres a little, not so well known book called a "zeus book" and engineers bible of measurements if you will, it tells you how to work out all kinds of stuff, including PCD's :thumb: I have a zeus book here ;)

Just checked mine, and it has 3 hole and 5 hole measurements, but no 4??
